A break-up. Most of us have been here at some point in our lives and it hurts. It can leave one with a lot of self-doubt, anxiety and of course stress.

Whether you’ve been with your partner for one month or one year, a break-up is a tumultuous time and feelings can be raw. In order to deal with the unsettling situation, your mind begins to try to make sense of it all. So much so that you may even find yourself making excuses to help answer that massive WHY… “I’m not pretty/handsome enough,” or “I’m not thin enough,” or “I’m not successful enough”.

In yoga, we begin to notice our thoughts.

These thoughts become words, words become behaviors, behaviors become habits and habits become values. In yoga, we choose to appreciate non-judgment. The first tenant of yoga is to do no harm. Passing judgment is harmful because that energy of criticism lives in you and affects you.

Suffering a broken heart is never easy but you must remember the heart is exponential. Yoga is a practice that can help you through a change by bringing attention to the growth as opposed to the contraction of the soul.

But what if there was a sacred place you could visit to help heal that broken heart?

The answer could be as simple as - a Good Yoga Retreat!

If you are looking to add more motivation, power, infinite love, balance, peace, and lightheartedness into your life, then this combination of adventure and beach retreat is definitely yours to choose.

The rolling hills, with the endless veil of stars above them, is the greatest experience. The sunrise and sunset yoga at the Zeidors amphitheatre or at the beach will embrace all your senses.

You will find this holiday experience very different from a typical package holiday or even a spa holiday. Only steps away from the sand and the sea, this is a relaxing retreat that will help you reconnect again with your inner self.

Your Yoga:

Yoga classes are taught in a fun and unique environment, where laughter and smiles are welcome every single day and where you share each other's journey.

Chiara will modify each class to suit the audience, making the classes both beginner-friendly and challenging enough for the more experienced yogi. All of the standard yoga equipment - including mats, blocks, straps, and water - are available.

Yoga and meditation:

The ancient practices of yoga and meditation are a key component to embracing a more mindful lifestyle. Yoga and meditation allow the body to restore, improve, and develop in harmony with the mind, body, and spirit. You cannot fully benefit from treating the body alone, and this is where yoga and meditation practice plays such an important role in truly enabling you to overcome your own personal insecurities and physical limitations.

The amphitheatre - modeled on the ancient Greek theatres - features outstanding acoustics and can host an audience of three hundred. Made exclusively of natural materials, the amphitheatre's shape is a metaphor for Love.

The Deck area - under the thick shade of ancient olive trees - offers a peaceful spot to practise for your daily yoga and pranayama. The olive tree represents wellbeing, wisdom and joie de vivre and is the perfect place to rest and recharge.

You will be staying in a recently refurbished Guest House with a swimming pool facing the small port of Kapsali. It is less then 5 minutes walk from Zeidoros.

All rooms in the hotel are created with love. They provide you with everything you need but are also simple and clean.

For this retreat is available only single room.

Kithira island -Location:

This yoga holiday will take place in Kithira, one of the wildest Greek islands.

The ancient myth that referred the island as Aphrodite’s birthplace has been the inspiration for the paintings of celebrated artists such as Sandro Botticelli and Jean-Antoine Watteau.

Now, a trip to Kýthera is the symbol of a burning desire, of hankering for beauty; and not unjustly so.

You will be staying in Kapsali, a small village by the sea with a traditional community feel. It still largely upholds the true rural Kithirian ethics of simplicity, kindness, and hospitality.

Getting there

There are a lot of ways to come to Kythira.

  1. By Plane from the international Airport of Athens.
  2. By boat from Piraeus.
  3. By car up to Gythion and Neapoli Lakonias and from there again by boat.
  4. If you come from Crete you can take the boat in Kasteli of Kissamos (district of Chania).
  5. Furthermore, there are flying dolphins departing from the port of Piraeus.

To choose your way to Kithira, read here what Andrew Bostock from The Telegraph wrote about it:

“Kythira can be troublesome to get to, a positive advantage in the perfect island stakes. It is not close to any of the better known islands, lying on its own at the bottom of the Peloponnese peninsula. You can fly there, but only on local flights, and the familiar UK package tour is unknown on the island. The best way to arrive is by boat. This can be done, rather indirectly, from Athens or, more pleasurably, from the little southern port of Neapoli, after a journey that can take in some of the delights of the Peloponnese itself”.

You can discover more about Kithira by reading his full article of 2015:
